Annual Summit of the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Nigeria

(Ibadan, Nigeria) All the executive members from the National body of the confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help in Nigeria converged at the Redemptorist Spirituality Centre Ibadan Nigeria from 12th to 14th of July for their first summit to deliberate and forward for approval the constitutions that will guide the members of the confraternity on the national, archdiocesan and parish levels in Nigeria.

The summit began with the arrival of the executive members on Friday 12th July 2019. With the Holy Mass of the Holy Spirit, the process of the summit was opened for the declaration on Saturday 13th July 2019, after which the summit was officially declared opened by the National President of the Confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help Mrs. Judith Agu. The executives were from different (Arch) dioceses in Nigeria: Lagos, Benin, Abeokuta, Enugu, Abuja, Umuahia, Warri, Isele Ukwu, Kaduna to mention but a few.

The Archbishop of Ibadan Most Rev. Dr. Gabriel Abegunrin was also present to encourage the executives of the confraternity of Our Mother of Perpetual Help for the good works that they have been doing in the Nigerian Church, propagating devotions to Our Mother of Perpetual Help, making Her known to the Nigerian People and indeed the world.

The summit came to an end on Sunday 14th July 2019, after the celebration of the Sunday liturgy.
