Part of the Vice-Province of Burkina-Niger established in 1946 there are four missionary parishes, three in the Diocese of Maradi and two in the Diocese of Niamey on the outskirts of the capital. In this overwhelmingly Muslim country dialogue with Muslims is of great importance and in all our projects Muslims work with us. This is a privileged opportunity for giving witness.
Despite difficult conditions, due to rebellion, in the north of the country, which have curtailed our solidarity and development activities, we have a primary school, a boarding school and a large dispensary and health centre.
As part of the Vice-Province of Burkina-Niger we have three houses of formation receiving young men from Niger, Benin, Togo and Benin.
