On Saturday, March 2, the Province of Brasilia joyfully celebrated the Perpetual Profession of confreres Raúl and Vinícius. The celebration took place at the Igreja Matriz de Cristo Rei, in Furacungo, Mozambique, and was presided over by the Provincial Superior, Father João Paulo.

During the Mass with the rite of Perpetual Profession, a large part of the people of God was present, the presence of the other brothers who work in the Furacungo mission and the counselors Fr. Tiago de Melo and Fr. Tiago Hilbert stand out.

A celebration marked by emotion, joy, and gratitude to God for the life and vocation of these two young people. We pray for the perseverance of each of them and for those who are already on their way or who have not yet started. Congratulations to the brothers.

THE PROVINCIAL GOVERNMENT OF BRASILIA VISITS THE REDEMPTORIST MISSION OF FURACUNGO, MOZAMBIQUE

Since last week, the Provincial Government made a fraternal visit to the confreres of the Redemptorist Community of Furacungo, Mozambique.

Fathers João Paulo, Tiago de Melo and Tiago Herbert are visiting Furacungo to learn a little about the local reality and to be able to participate in the Perpetual Profession of confreres Raúl and Vinícius, celebrated on March 2, 2024. We
currently have four confreres from our Province of Brasilia who reside in Mozambique.
Upon arrival in the African country, members of the Government paid a cordial visit to the Bishop of Tete, Dom Diamantino Guapo, IMC.

We pray for the Church present in Africa, especially for the missionaries who work in various parts of this continent. We also pray for local vocations, so that the Lord will sustain them and encourage them on his path.
