Niger Redemptorist completes studies in Arabic and Inter-religious dialogue

Fr. Gerard Ibrahim Seydou C.S.sR. , a member of the West Africa Province of the Redemptorists has just defended his thesis in Rome. Ibrahim  left Niger over three years ago to pursue studies in Arabic and Islam with an emphasis on inter-religious dialogue. The population of Niger is more than 95% Muslim. Christians are few in number and are mainly from border countries. Ibrahim has shown great dedication in his studies and to deepening his understanding of Islam. Redemptorists in the Conference for Africa and Madagascar are very proud of Ibrahim and wish him well as he returns to West Africa. The attached photographs show Ibrahim in full flight, full of passion and conviction. He is surrounded by friends and confreres as he ably defends his thesis.
