Africa & Madagascar Ethics and Human Rights Programme:
The ethics and human rights programme recognizes the inherent dignity of every human person. It promotes gender equality and champions women’s empowerment through grassroots movements. This has been found to not only benefit women but in particular leads to more favourable outcomes for their children and society in general. Given the large number of economic migrants in Africa and Madagascar our mission to migrants and responses to xenophobia are an essential part of this programme. Together with the promotion of prisoners’ rights it is one aspect of our mission to reach out to the most abandoned in society. Corruption perpetuates injustices and inequality and therefore the ethics of good governance is strongly promoted.
