Plan a parish mission

PROCLAIMING GOOD NEWS

The preaching of Parish Missions and Novenas is an important pastoral ministry of the Redemptorists.  It is based on the type of ministry begun by St. Alphonsus Liguori and the first members of the Redemptorist Congregation. It has now been redeveloped as a modern Catholic experience to meet the contemporary demand for a new evangelisation, a new spirituality.

The Redemptorists preach missions in every continent and in urban and rural settings in a huge number of countries. Parish missions are richly uplifting events that dynamically energise communities and strengthen parishes while cultivating faith.  Why not plan a parish mission for your parish, but plan differently this time.

ENGAGE A MISSION TEAM WITH A DIFFERENCE

Mission preachers come in all shapes and sizes, with a multitude of different styles and experiences. There is a great tradition of missioners who served overseas returning to their homelands to share their experience of an engaged faith from other lands.  For example, the parish mission profiled below, conducted in Knocknagoshel in County Kerry, Ireland was led and inspired by missionaries who had worked in the Philippine islands and Brazil.

The Church in Africa is teeming with energy and hope with liturgies characterised by joy and vibrancy.  This optimism is now being harnessed to channel it into parishes and communities in other parts of the world who are seeking to revitalise the joy of faith.  The Redemptorists of Africa and Madagascar are agreed that they would like to share their faith and mission experience with communities who originally ushered in the reign of initial evangelisation in Africa and Madagascar.

PARISH MISSIONS LED BY PREACHERS ROOTED IN AFRICA

The Redemptorists of Africa and Madagascar are designating capable, talented and personable missioners from Africa and Madagascar who are available to lead parish missions in Asia, Europe, North America and South America.  We have the competencies to lead parish missions in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese.

If you are thinking of a parish mission, why not book a mission team from Africa and Madagascar.  It works best, when there are a number of parishes in a country interested in a parish mission.  This makes the mission work more plausible from an organisational and financial perspective.
