From February 6 to 14, 2026, the novena in preparation for the patronal feast of the Parish of Notre-Dame de Lourdes de Tiébissou was truly a time of grace, spiritual renewal, and missionary fervor.
From the very beginning, the parish community devoted itself wholeheartedly to prayer, praise, catechesis, Holy Mass, and Eucharistic adoration. Each evening, the faithful gathered to seek God’s mercy and prepare their hearts for the celebration of their parish feast.
At the same time, evangelization reached out to the various sectors and villages of the parish. Accompanied by the Fraternité Tabéera and guided by the Redemptorist Fathers — Rev. Fr. Chabi Siméon BIAOU, C.Ss.R., Parish Priest; Rev. Fr. Korsi Divine-Paul DARGBEY, C.Ss.R., Vicar; and Rev. Fr. Dennis OPOKU KUSI, C.Ss.R., Vicar — the faithful welcomed the Word of God with faith and enthusiasm. These missionary visits revealed a Church that goes forth: close to her people and eager to rekindle the flame of faith in every community.

Throughout the novena, the teachings were deeply marked by reflection on the mystery of the Cross, docility to the Holy Spirit, and the call not to grieve the Spirit. A special Mass of the Holy Spirit became a powerful moment of renewal, strengthening families and reviving the missionary zeal of the entire parish.
A particularly moving highlight was the special program for children. Their large turnout, joyful songs, and heartfelt prayers brightened the parish and filled hearts with hope. They reminded everyone that the Church is alive and looking confidently toward the future.
Solemn Conclusion and Celebration of Love
The novena concluded in a profound spirit of thanksgiving. The closing Mass featured a group wedding of five couples — a visible sign of God’s love at work within families and a powerful witness to the beauty of Christian marriage.

Following the Mass, a joyful Saint Valentine’s Day celebration was organized in collaboration with the Association of Christian Families (AFC). Newly married couples, along with other couples, singles, and those in relationships, shared a beautiful moment of fellowship, love, and symbolic exchange of gifts.
The celebration was further enriched by the fraternal presence of confrères from Bouaké (St. Mark’s Parish), highlighting the ecclesial unity and missionary spirit that marked the entire event.
