The Vice-Province of Madagascar experienced a profound moment of grace with the solemn opening of the Jubilee marking the 300th anniversary of the birth of Saint Gérard Majella, Patron of the Vice-Province. This jubilee celebration took place within the framework of the National Assembly of the Lay Associates of the Redemptorists, a privileged time of formation in the spirituality and charism of the Congregation.
On Sunday, 30th November 2025, the exposition and solemn procession of the relic of the saint, accompanied by the faithful and the Lay Associates, inaugurated the day in an atmosphere of deep intercessory prayer and thanksgiving. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by the Superior General, Rev. Fr. Rogério Gomes, in the presence of the General Consultor for the COREAM, Fr. Nicolas Ayuba, as well as representatives of the COREAM.

In his homily, the Superior General exhorted the faithful to enter into a time of hope, conversion, and spiritual vigilance, proper to the Advent season. He highlighted the exemplary life of Saint Gerard as a model of humility, obedience, and fidelity, inviting all to abandon themselves with confidence to the will of God.
The celebration concluded with a fraternal moment of fellowship and sharing, in joy and gratitude for the graces received through the intercession of our saintly Patron.
Fr. Luis Armando RAVELOJAONA, CSsR.
