In June 2025, 22 health professionals — including doctors, nurses and midwives — completed an intensive training programme in emergency obstetric and neonatal care. The training combined classroom instruction with real-time clinical practice in the newly equipped wards.
Key competencies strengthened:
- Infection prevention
- Neonatal resuscitation
- Emergency response during complicated births
- Post-partum management

By training local staff on-site, knowledge stays in the community and strengthens healthcare delivery long term.
