DR Congo: Transforming Healthcare in Mbanza-Ngungu: The Noki Health Development Project

The Noki Health Development Project – Phase 2, supported by Misean Cara and the Redemptorist Solidarity Office (RSO) – Ireland, is transforming healthcare in Mbanza-Ngungu, Democratic Republic of Congo. Through this initiative, the local community is witnessing real change and renewed hope for better health services.

The project has renovated the paediatric ward, equipped the maternity unit, and trained health workers in obstetric and neonatal emergency care. Thanks to these improvements, mothers can now give birth safely, children receive quality treatment, and health staff serve with renewed confidence and dedication.

Despite these significant achievements, challenges remain. Stable electricity and access to oxygen for newborns are urgently needed to sustain and expand this progress.

Sincere thanks go to Misean Cara and RSO for making this transformation possible. Together, we can continue supporting underprivileged families in Noki and beyond.
