The Redemptorist Mission of Kinkala is located in the Pool Department, about 75 km south-west of Brazzaville. Although the region has a strong Catholic tradition and vibrant Christian life, it still bears the effects of past conflicts. The mission is dedicated to pastoral and missionary outreach in fidelity to the Redemptorist charism of proclaiming the Gospel to the most abandoned.

First established in the early 1990s, the mission was withdrawn in 1998 due to armed conflict and officially re-established on 24 October 2023, marking a renewed commitment to evangelization, reconciliation, and the rebuilding of ecclesial life.

The intercultural missionary community consists of three Redemptorist priests:
Fr. Hugues Matondo (Mission Superior), Fr. William Rakotomanana, and Fr. Jonas Mukala.

Their ministry is carried out in collaboration with two local parishes: Saint Gerard Parish of Dzoumouna (Archdiocese of Brazzaville) and Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish of Kinkala (Diocese of Kinkala).

The Redemptorists are engaged in sacramental ministry, preaching, catechesis, youth ministry, accompaniment of Basic Ecclesial Communities, and outreach to remote areas. Special attention is given to the poor, the sick, and those affected by past conflicts, promoting reconciliation, unity, and hope.

In continuity with their Marian tradition, a Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help is planned in Kinkala as a centre of prayer, pilgrimage, and evangelization, supporting both spiritual growth and integral human development.
